Spaceflight certified guitar pic and Tim Keller Metal Mayor decal are presented to Mark Padilla, President of the New Mexico Music Hall of Fame for display at the new, under construction Route 66 visitor’s center outside Albuquerque.
“I’m jazzed to add these cosmic items to the New Mexico Music Hall of Fame collection of memorabilia. Having items that have traveled into the cosmos is truly unique. I want to personally thank Brian Barnett from Solstar Space Company and DrumAstro Productions for dedicating these items and supporting our mission to bring music to New Mexico’s community and the universe,” says Mark Padilla, President of the New Mexico Music Hall of Fame.
“Being a drummer and longtime musician, I’m proud and excited to dedicate the spaceflight certified guitar pic and Tim Keller Metal Mayor decal to the New Mexico Music Hall of Fame. As Co-founder and CEO of Solstar Space Company, I’m enthusiastic about sharing the progression of our Santa Fe-based space company too. During the 2018 flight, Solstar Space tested its Schmitt Space Communicator SC-1x payload and provided the first commercial Wi-Fi hotspot service (and Tweet) in space. The pic and decal flew to space and back inside the crew capsule of Blue Origin’s New Shepard rocket, from their West Texas launch site located about 50 miles south of the New Mexico border,” shares Brian Barnett, Co-founder & CEO of Solstar Space Company.
